The apartment had been untouched since the eighties. The bones were good; everything else had to go.
We stripped it back to the structure and started again. Walls came down to give the living spaces their length. The kitchen is now closed when it needs to be and open when it doesn't, behind a wall of full-height oak doors. Bathrooms in honed limestone, bedrooms in soft plaster.
The palette is parchment, oak, and a muted terracotta used on a single wall in the dining room.
